the pups are now 5 weeks old and they are the cutest things I have ever seen in my whole entire entire life.  my children probably won’t even be that cute but in the event that I do have some please don’t tell them I said that. 

I think I picked the one that I want.

So Grandpa and I went to see the tree in the middle of the road on Sunday.  Its a great ol tree and I like to go see it.  Here is Grandpa standing next to it:

It is actually a part of my family lore.  It was my Grandpa’s great great uncle, who was using a cottonwood stick as a cane as he was marking the mile sections for the roads that were to come a few years later.  Running out of markers he used his makeshift cane which took root and when they came to put in the roads years later, there stood the tree, and there it still stands.  I love that story.  Here is Grandpa and I trying to move it:
